Modern Kitchen Transformation in Tettenhall

This recent kitchen project in Tettenhall is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely transform a space, both visually and practically.

The client came to us with the challenge of a large structural column positioned right in the centre of the room. In the original kitchen, the layout worked around the column rather than with it, leaving the space feeling awkward and interrupting the natural flow of the kitchen.

We saw it as an opportunity to create a standout design feature. The structural column was wrapped in a contemporary slatted wood-effect finish, transforming it into a striking architectural detail.

A large bespoke island was then designed around the column, turning it into the heart of the kitchen. This created a more sociable and practical space, ideal for everyday family use, dining and entertaining.

Clean, modern cabinetry was used throughout, with a soft neutral palette helping to keep the space light, bright and timeless. Contrasting darker tones add depth and definition, giving the kitchen a contemporary feel without overpowering the overall design.

Premium worktops with waterfall edges elevate the finish and add a sense of luxury, while feature pendant lighting above the island enhances the focal point and brings warmth to the space.

The finished kitchen has completely changed the feel of the room. What was once an awkward obstruction is now a standout feature, and the space now feels larger, brighter, more cohesive and far better suited to modern family living.
